SCIENCE TECHNICIAN
32.5 hours per week - Term time + additional 5 days
Grade 5 FTE £25,584 - £27,269 (Actual Starting Pro-Rata Salary £20,579)
Crofton Academy are seeking to recruit an organised and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our well established and successful science department from September 2025.
The successful candidate will:
§ Ensure that rooms are prepared prior to lessons with appropriate resources.
§ Ensure safe working practices through accurate planning and risk assessment.
§ Lead and manage the Assistant Science Technician, providing them with clear direction, development and motivation.
§ Manage/audit stock, organise and store safely all equipment, chemicals and resources.
§ Will have strong communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.
§ Be able to demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
§ Have a methodical and consistent approach to the organisation of the workload.
§ Have the ability to assist Teachers in the delivery of the practical requirement of the Science curriculum.
§ Undertake and maintain a Level 3 first aid qualification to be able to provide first aid assistance and cover as and when required.
