Responsibilities:
TE TŪRANGA | ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Section Manager is key member of the site senior leadership team and is responsible across the site for all departments relating to production. Critical to the effective operation of the plant, the Section Manager will influence and lead their department leaders to deliver production success safely and to a high standard.
Strong leadership skills are key to the success of this role, and we are looking for someone who has led departments with upwards of 100 people.
TE MAHI | KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide inspirational leadership and ownership of the people, production, health and safety, quality and compliance they’re responsible and accountable for.
- A focus on production outcomes ensuring customer requirements are met every time.
- Support the Site Manager with plant improvement initiatives across all aspects of operations.
- Build a culture which not only aligns with our values but creates teams who work for each other, for the department and for the customer.
- Highly effective communication which enables accurate decision making and high performance.
- Ownership and commitment to continuous improvement through full immersion and engagement with the Silver Fern Farms “Streamline” programme.
- Advise, coach and mentor your direct reports and assist with developing their leadership capability and capacity.
