Upvest, founded in 2017, enables any financial institution to offer great investment experiences to its customers. Upvest is an investment firm regulated by the German supervision authority (BaFin). The company currently employs 160+ people across Europe with its headquarters based in Berlin, Germany.
The company is backed by the world’s largest venture capital funds and investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, BlackRock, Earlybird, HV Capital, Notion Capital, and ABN Amro Ventures, as well as by renowned fintech entrepreneurs (including Maximilian Tayenthal, founder of N26, and Felix Haas, founder of IDnow).
We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution offering a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional form. Our mission and vision is to make investing as easy as spending money.
We’re based in Berlin but are also open to hiring remotely in Germany and UK for this role. If you’re currently based elsewhere but would like to move to Germany, we’re happy to support your relocation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Account Management or similar client-facing roles in the investments industry in a B2B context, ideally with SaaS/API-based products.
- You have deep experience in consultative selling and in managing up to 7-figure-plus accounts.
- You possess strong relationship-building and expectation management skills, demonstrating the ability to establish trust, handle objections, retain clients, and ensure their ongoing satisfaction.
- You are able to own account-related initiatives and drive them to completion, with an ability to navigate ambiguity and build scalable processes. You don’t shy away from producing high-quality documents yourself.
- You are curious and understand client challenges, coupled with the ability to identify opportunities for value-based upselling to expand client contracts.
- You are proactive and hands-on with project ownership, including effective client communication and thorough internal documentation.
- You have a solid understanding of the investment industry, current trends, and competitive landscape.
- You are passionate about growth as Upvest has a bright future ahead, which depends on our team’s spirit, morale, and work ethic.
- Preferably, you are located in Berlin or London and show flexibility for work travel. You are fluent in English (both written and verbal). Proficiency in German is advantageous.

Deliver a first-class client experience

As a (Senior) Account Manager, you will execute on account strategies to reach our clients’ growth ambitions. You will build and implement Upvest’s Account Management playbook, use analytics tools to track client performance, and share insights with sales, product, and operations teams to drive improvements. Your role is essential in ensuring that clients enjoy a first-class experience through deep understanding of our clients’ businesses, timely resolutions, and targeted recommendations by working cross-functionally with internal experts.
