EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in automated production engineering or equivalent experience.

KNOWLEDGE

  • In-depth knowledge of industrial computing, automation and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in basic Windows applications.
  • Understanding of computer capabilities.
  • Understanding of basic settings and capabilities of industrial equipment that can be connected to a computer network.
  • Knowledge of software such as Unity, Citect, AutoCAD, Vijeo Designer, DSE890, and TwidoSuite.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) – An asset.

Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE IN OUR TEAM

Reporting to the Operations Manager ‒ Bitumen, the Senior Automation Specialist ensures that PLC programs remain above the expected performance level while keeping data and information up to date. They also ensure knowledge transfer and optimize communication between the automation department and operations, while providing support to the industrial project team. In addition, they provide project managers with the required programs on schedule.
