SENIOR CO-PRODUCTION OFFICER

Fixed Term, Part Time
Up to £33,078 per annum Full Time Equivalent
Location: Chelmsford

SERVICE/FUNCTIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work with people who use services, are experts by experience and their families and carers to support existing user-led groups and develop new peer support user-led groups to embed and maintain co-production in the design, delivery and evaluation of services Mental health services
  • Work with partnership with internal and external colleagues across ECC, EPUT and ICBs, VCS to develop a joint co-production approach.
  • Facilitate the development of locality networks, through engagement with local social care and health commissioners, voluntary sector, and third sector providers. This will include volunteer service networks, service-user networks, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Champion the voice of those using services. You will use feedback and suggestions from those using services to advise the Mental Health Commissioners, and will share with stakeholders, commissioners, operational managers and clinicians throughout Essex to ensure that key messages are shared within the system.
  • Develop, implement and manage a plan around co-production which effectively aligns to our mental health commissioning programme.
  • Collate information and prepare high quality reports.
  • Take lead for co-production within the Mental Health team, driving our approach to co-production and service user involvement/consultation.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • RFQ level 2 (GCSEs) or equivalent by experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Excellent IT/Computer Skills and be able to produce reports and presentations
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Experience of working in Adult Social Care services
  • Skills and experience in setting up and delivering small projects and proven organisational skills
  • Excellent adaptable communication and influencing skills
  • Be personable, approachable and have good listening skills
  • A good understanding of adult social care and the current national social care and health agenda in Mental Health
