Senior Backend Developer – Pagero TMS Are you curious about developing the transport logistics solutions of the future? We are now looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join an experienced and close-knit team that develops and maintains Pagero TMS – a leading cloud-based solution for transport logistics. About Pagero TMS and Pagero Pagero TMS helps transport buyers create transparency and control over their external logistics – financially, operationally, and environmentally – regardless of mode of transport. The solution is an integrated subsystem within the Pagero ecosystem. Pagero is now part of Thomson Reuters. Together, we are developing OneSource, the world’s largest open business network. OneSource enables companies to digitize and automate entire workflows from procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and shipping – including all technical and regulatory requirements – through a single connection. The Team and Way of Working The product development team works with a microservices-based architecture and a strong DevOps culture, where teams own the entire lifecycle – from design and development to operations and continuous improvement. You will be part of a team focused on further developing our scalable cloud service and collaborating closely with sister teams, including teams in Sri Lanka. About the Role As a Senior Backend Developer, you will: Develop and further enhance backend solutions in a modern microservices architecture Work with functional programming and JVM-based development (Scala, ZIO) Contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and production of robust services Work with Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, asynchronous queue systems (RabbitMQ/AMQP), and REST APIs When needed, contribute to the maintenance and further development of user interfaces in React Collaborate with other teams within Pagero and Thomson Reuters, both nationally and internationally The position is hybrid, with office presence three days per week in Stockholm. About You Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or an engineering discipline with an IT focus At least 5 years of professional experience in software development Experience with functional programming languages and the JVM platform, preferably Scala Experience with Kubernetes Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases Experience with asynchronous queue systems (e.g., RabbitMQ/AMQP) and REST/Swagger Strong proficiency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written Meriting Qualifications - Experience with frontend development in React - Experience within the transport logistics domain and understanding of related information flows - Experience improving development processes using AI-based tools - Experience building AI-based products Personal Qualities - You are passionate about solving complex problems in close collaboration with others - You thrive in an open development culture with code reviews and technical discussions - You have experience across multiple technical ecosystems and are eager to learn new things The position requires successful completion of an enhanced background check.
