TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years in software development using technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Python, Node.js, and databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and microservices.
• Experience with VoIP, billing systems, or wireless networks is a plus.
• Background in systems integration, including software/hardware prototypes.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER TO JOIN OUR GROWING TECHNOLOGY TEAM IN MANCHESTER. IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL PLAY A KEY PART IN DESIGNING AND DELIVERING THE SOFTWARE THAT POWERS OUR CORE SYSTEMS - FROM WIRELESS TECHNOLOGIES AND CRM PLATFORMS TO INTEGRATED PROTOTYPES AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS SOLUTIONS.

You’ll be hands-on with development while also guiding junior team members, working closely with stakeholders, and supporting the smooth delivery of reliable, maintainable systems.
This is a new role, ideally based at our Manchester office. It will also require a regular presence in our Head Office in Burnley - typically one day a week - so the successful applicant will need a full driving licence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design, build, and maintain robust software solutions that scale effectively and securely.
• Work across the full stack, including front-end, back-end, databases, and on bespoke integrations.
• Contribute to all phases of the software lifecycle - from planning and development to deployment and support.
• Support the adoption of practical AI tools where they add value to our processes.
• Provide technical leadership and act as a key point of escalation for complex issues.
• Mentor junior developers and assist with onboarding and team development.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers and partners.
