Description:

The Senior Director of Marketing (Deals) will be a key leader in the marketing team, supporting the CMO in all deal and promotion initiatives. This role demands strategic expertise in multi-channel and affiliate marketing, and customer engagement. The Senior Director will craft and implement innovative marketing campaigns, optimize channels, and drive customer interest in Groupon deals.

Role overview:

  • We are ideally seeking a candidate from a company that specializes in selling specific products they owned or resold, with a primary focus on a particular product.
  • Experience in e-commerce or gaming studios with their own games is also relevant.
  • The candidate should be well-versed in performance marketing, external communication channels, affiliate marketing, and influencer engagement.
  • Our team operates primarily online (Asana, Jira, …), is result-oriented, and analytical.
  • Previous roles could include CMO, Head of Performance, or Head of Online, among others.

    You’ll spend time on the following:

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate closely with the CMO to set the strategic direction for all marketing activities related to deals and promotions. Provide leadership and mentorship to the marketing team, ensuring clear goals, support, and resources.

  • Channel Management: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies across external channels, including SEM, Display, Affiliate, Influencers, and SEO. Continuously analyze and optimize channel performance to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand customer preferences, industry trends, and competitive dynamics. Adjust marketing strategies based on insights to stay ahead of market changes and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Sales, Product, and Global Operations to ensure cohesive marketing efforts. Communicate marketing plans, results, and insights to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget for deals and promotions, ensuring efficient and effective resource use. Monitor channel performance, analyze results, and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.

✅ Key Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of business objectives and common sense.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a senior marketing role, with a focus on deals and promotions.
  • Proven track record in multi-channel marketing, including standard digital channels like Facebook and Google.
  • Strong expertise in affiliate marketing and managing partner relationships.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and experience with data-driven decision-making.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for developing innovative marketing strategies.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • English at C1/C2 level.
