HAVE YOU GOT A FLAIR FOR THE COMPLEX? BURO HAPPOLD’S ENERGY CONSULTING TEAM IS LOOKING FOR A SENIOR ENERGY ENGINEER TO JOIN OUR VIBRANT AND FRIENDLY TEAM.

The role will involve hybrid working and occasional travel overseas with the flexibility to be based out of any of our UK offices.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong understanding and experience in energy infrastructure project commercialisation, with a focus on District Heat Networks.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of heat network projects.
  • Effectively communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Offer commercial advice on economic modelling, feasibility studies, and business cases for heat networks.
  • Develop concise and engaging reports and economic models.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and client-facing roles within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead and provide commercial guidance to project teams to deliver project scope.
  • Identify and evaluate new and emerging technologies, policies, and services in the energy sector
  • Understand wider engineering disciplines involved in master planning and collaborate within multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Degree in a related discipline (e.g., STEM, economics) and working towards chartered professional registration such as APM.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience in energy consultancy, focusing on heat networks.
  • Strong ability to communicate and interact with colleagues and clients.
  • Experience in undertaking techno-economic appraisals of energy systems.
  • Experience in engaging and working with regulatory authorities within the UK.
  • Experience in managing project teams of 5+ people.
  • Proficient in negotiations and stakeholder management.
  • Experience in managing complex projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
