Description:
At M-KOPA, we are committed to creating lasting impact by providing financial access to millions across Africa, with a focus on underbanked communities. As a leading impact-driven fintech, we’re not just offering products—we’re transforming lives and protecting the planet.
We are now seeking an experienced Senior Impact Measurement Analyst to join our growing Impact team. In this role, you’ll collaborate across teams to measure and report on the social, environmental, and economic impact of our services. You will help us quantify the tangible effects of our work on financial inclusion, digital inclusion, women’s economic empowerment, and climate impact.
Location: This role is open to candidates based in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, or South Africa. We are particularly keen to hire local talent with a deep understanding of the markets we serve.
We’re looking for a seasoned professional with at least 8 years of experience in developing best-in-class impact measurement, ideally within fintech, tech, or other impact-driven organizations.
Your expertise spans across financial inclusion, digital financial services, digital products, and social impact, with a solid understanding of ESG reporting, climate impact measurement, and carbon accounting being a significant advantage. You have experience working with impact investments and have collaborated with key stakeholders like investors, funders, and corporate teams to present clear, data-driven insights.
Proficient in tools like Looker (or similar analytics platforms), you can turn data into actionable insights that drive strategic and commercial decisions. You also have a proven track record of developing or supporting sustainability/ESG reports, contributing to impact frameworks, and working with impact dashboards to effectively communicate results to diverse audiences, including product teams, commercial teams, C-suite executives, and funders.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who come from impact-driven private sector companies, like M-KOPA, or from impact-driven investment firms. A background in specialist research consultancies or general management consultancies is also highly valued.
Experience in development donor, funder, or foundation work, especially if it’s related to digital and financial inclusion or tech-driven social impact in the private sector, would be a great fit. If you have this kind of experience and are passionate about driving positive impact, we’d love to hear from you.
