Description:

My client is a national consultancy practice who are recognised by their clients and peers for their expertise across multiple disciplines, market segments and industries. Their project solutions range from residential refurbishments to multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects
They are currently on the lookout for a qualified Senior Quantity Surveyor to work within their award-winning Sydney office. Supporting some of Sydney’s key infrastructure, commercial and education construction projects this role will perform various quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients.

This role is responsible for:

  • liaising with clients, architects and main contractors
  • identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
  • master-plan and feasibility budgets
  • cost checking of developing design
  • value engineering
  • tender evaluations and analysis
  • contract negotiations
  • cash flow projects
  • procurement
  • cost reporting
  • evaluation of variations
  • valuations
  • final account reporting
  • claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
  • investment analysis
  • formulating and implementing bench marking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans
