Job Description

Reporting to the Vice-President, SAP Sales, The SAP Account Executive at Talan plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and success. As a trusted advisor, you will leverage your expertise in SAP solutions to build strong relationships with prospects and existing clients, develop winning sales strategies, and collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to define and implement SAP solutions that meet the specific needs and goals of each customers.

  • Contribute to campaign effectiveness through innovative and tailored suggestions and continuous feedback on market trends
  • Hunting and Customer Management. Sales of SAP Cloud Subscription and Talan services
  • Annual Revenue - Achieve / exceed quota targets.
  • Sales strategies - Develops effective and specific account plans to ensure revenue target delivery and sustainable growth.
  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers and leverage to drive strategy through organization.
  • Trusted advisor - Establishes strong relationships based on knowledge of customer and industries requirements and commitment to value.
  • Builds a foundation on which to harvest future business opportunities and accurate account information and coaching.
  • Business Acumen - Actively understand each customer’s business needs, strategic growth plans, technology strategy and competitive landscape. Review public information (e.g. new executive appointments, earnings statements, press releases) for the company and its competitors to remain updated on key industry trends and issues impacting the prospect.
  • Territory and Account Leadership - Lead designated territory, including accounts, account relationships, prospect profiling, and sales cycles. Encourage all accounts to become Talan references. Building and maintaining executive C level trusted advisor type relationships with some of the largest companies in central Canada.
  • Business Planning - Develop and deliver comprehensive business plan to address customer and prospects priorities and pain points. Utilize VE, benchmarking and ROI data to support the customer’s decision process.
  • Pipeline planning - Follow a disciplined approach to maintaining a rolling pipeline. Keep pipeline current and moving up the pipeline curve.
  • Leverage SAP Solutions - Be proficient in and bring all Talan offers to bear on sales pursuits including Industry Solutions, LOB solutions (CRM, SCM, HCM, SRM et. al) and technology solutions (Business Analytics, Mobility, Database and Technology, et. al)
  • Advance and close sales opportunities - through the successful execution of the sales strategy and roadmap.
  • Understand SAP’s competition and effectively position solutions against them.
  • Maintain CRM system with accurate customer and pipeline information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in a related field.
  • Have at least 10 years of conclusive experience in business development, particularly with the English-speaking market. Experience in information technology will be considered an asset;
  • Proven track record in SAP software sales and/or services sales.
  • Excellent English communication.
  • Attentive to the needs of potential customers and results-oriented
  • Excellent ability to listen and adapt to objections.
  • Ability to work in a team in a multi-project mode.
  • Demonstrate dynamism, commitment and curiosity towards the field of technology.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Linkedin SalesNavigator, SalesForce.
