Peerless Pump, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking an experienced Pump Service Specialist to join its Pump Service Team.
The Senior Service Specialist is responsible for field service applications, system diagnostics, pump commissioning, advanced technical support, quoting and other solutions/service-related functions. Utilizes advanced knowledge of Peerless product solutions and expertise to meet customer needs; knowledgeable on all product applications. Travels to customer locations to understand solution requirements and provide technical expertise as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise to end-users.
  • Provide pump start up, supervised start-up, commissioning, and re-commissioning services to end users and sales channel partners.
  • Provide system diagnostics, analysis and recommendations as required by customers.
  • Develop quotations and associated technical documents to customers.
  • Read and understand customer specifications.
  • Review specifications and determine all technical requirements, including equipment sizing, costing, additions, flange dimensions.
  • Develop service solutions detailing pricing, delivery schedule, preliminary design information, exceptions quoted to customer specifications.
  • Perform field diagnostic service such as laser alignment and vibration analysis.
  • Provide training to end users as required by contractual agreements.
  • Play a key role in the development, creation and production of Service training programs.
  • Responsible for field sales and account management functions to fulfill customer pump and system service requirements.
  • Develops monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales plans with goals and strategies to accomplish sales targets
  • Call on customers within assigned geographical and/or market area; promote acceptance of the company’s products and services.
  • Expands customer base in assigned territory.
  • Technically qualified in selection of equipment and scopes of service work without written specifications.
  • Performs troubleshooting and emergency call outs as may be required; assists with equipment start up and training as may be necessary.
  • Document service visits with written trip reports & visual evidence as necessary.
