Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working in an Agile environment and collaborating with teams
  • Develop, modify, and enhance creative and responsive client-side web applications
  • Build and implement feature & function-rich enterprise level websites
  • Writing new and highly reusable JavaScript, HTML and CSS via common UI Frameworks, with an emphasis towards React to support our responsive applications front end.
  • Constantly research & identify new web technologies/trends to drive innovation, quality, and a fresh outlook
  • Provide suggestions for improvement, betterment of the product from both technical and functional standpoints.
  • Working with lead developers, architecture and product management to identity the optimal technical approach and contribute to the full solution design
  • Work closely with designers throughout the design process - identify technical constraints, take part in design reviews, prototype solutions etc.
  • Demo work regularly and communicate with the team
  • Collaborate with UI developers across other product teams
  • Develop and execute unit and end-to-end tests
  • Ensure components meet accessibility, internationalization, and localization requirements
  • Coach and guide your peers within the team

WHAT WE LOOK FOR/WHO WOULD PROSPER IN THIS ROLE?

  • Understanding and experience of all phases of the SDLC and experienced in working in a test-driven agile development environment.
  • 5+ years’ experience in web front-end development is required
  • 3+ years’ experience in any modern JavaScript Framework (React, Angular, VueJs), Jest, Babel, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3 required, and a willingness to focus on React as the framework of choice
  • Experienced with state managements tools i.e Redux, React Context API
  • Working knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • A strong understanding of common JavaScript design patterns and concepts such as scope, closures, and prototypal inheritance and overall architectural patterns for web apps
  • CI/CD strategies & technologies (e.g. GitHub Actions, Azure pipelines) and experience deploying Web applications into cloud environments
  • Good understanding about https protocol and security capabilities for web applications.
  • Experience integrating web apps with RESTful APIs.
  • Familiar with unit testing JavaScript (ideally react-testing-library) and integration test frameworks.
  • Nice to have: experience with modern front-end tooling, including CSS pre-processors, build tools (e.g. Webpack, Gulp), testing frameworks, transpilers and module loaders
  • Good understanding of browser rendering behaviour and performance.
  • Experience with facilitating code and technical review processes (merge request, pair programming)
  • Has ability to take clear and efficient decisions and bridge gaps between product and dev team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
