About our Team
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be leading and consulting with dynamic, enthusiastic cross functional teams, where collaboration is key. Our Platform is at the heart of our business and powers our ability to bring high value to our customers, and your team owns this fundamental enabler of our success.
About the Role
As the Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of infrastructure and software engineers. In addition to building and integrating complex systems and pipelines, this position provides direction on project plans, schedules, and methodologies. The position has direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating closely with teams across our business to understand data science, data engineering and product requirements and translate them into infrastructure, software, and deployment designs.
  • Managing and mentoring engineers in your team to grow their skills and careers.
  • Encourage new ideas from your team to foster improvements through innovation.
  • Serving as the initial point of escalation for infrastructure and software development issues.
  • Delivering high-quality features through good agile, CI/CD and DevOps practices, and supporting your team in their engineering excellence.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of cloud infrastructure within AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • A Devops and agile mindset
  • Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or other infrastructure as code.
  • Have experience of coding skills in at least one programming language, preferably Python
  • Be able to partner and lead engineers in solving complex business needs.
  • Be able to collaborate, support and drive team members to deliver on results, providing technical and professional guidance.
