The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment and systems of our customers in the Feed & Biofuel Industry. This includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and ensuring that all machinery and equipment operate efficiently and safely. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety are essential for this role.
The role requires extensive travelling to our customers mainly located in northern Europe (other locations in Europe are possible upon agreement). Engagement in Site Installations projects globally are possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Repair:
  • Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues in machinery, using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, such as bearings, seals, gaskets, gears, and belts.
  • Installation & Assembly:
  • Assist in the installation, assembly, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure proper alignment, calibration, and testing of mechanical systems.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to mechanical systems.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when necessary.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Prepare reports on maintenance issues, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Update equipment logs and maintenance databases.
  • Customer Service:
  • Interact with customers or end-users to understand mechanical issues and provide technical support.
  • Provide training to customers or operators on proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve the reliability and safety of mechanical systems.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with new technologies and industry best practices.
