$66,560 - $79,843 per year
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- 3 years or more working with youth in an organized setting and 2 or more years of proven staff development, supervision, and training
- Passion for social justice and knowledge of the Bayview Hunters Point community, its residents, and a desire to make a difference
- A commitment to providing young people with the highest-quality youth development experience
- Must be knowledgeable about youth development program design and planning, administration and evaluation, child abuse reporting laws, After School standards, as well as knowledge and awareness of a wide variety of out of school activities
- Must be a talented multi-tasker and an independent worker who is adept at working on a team, thrives in a start-up environment and maintains a flexible and positive attitude
- Must have the ability to develop positive relationships with youth, adults, parents, staff, teachers, administration, the Y, and community members
- Must be able to work independently, have consistent follow through and demonstrate good judgment
- Excellent organizational skills and multi-project/multi-task oriented, including experience scheduling and coordinating multiple fun and education-focused activities for youth
- Must know how to grow, motivate, and maintain a strong new team
- Experience working with middle school students in an urban area
- Team player with proven ability to work with people from a variety of different ethnic, socio economic, educational, religious, sexual, and generational backgrounds
- TB Test clearance
- Fingerprint background check clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years or more working with youth in an organized setting and 3 or more years of proven staff development, supervision, and training
- Master’s Degree in related field or equivalent
- Bilingual skills in Spanish, Cantonese, Tagalog
