Description:
Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) system engineering and information technology firm, headquartered in Maryland and Virginia. Incorporated in 1999, we support mission critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA) and for select commercial clients. ACET, Inc.’s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems.
ACET is seeking C-26 Site Leads at the following locations to serve as the focal point for all maintenance activities on site:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-engine, turbo-prop aircraft maintenance experience; at least 1 year of Site Lead experience managing multiple aircraft including fixed-wing aircraft.
- Shall possess a valid FAA A&P license.
- Proficient in computerized maintenance programs.
- Proficient with Navy and Marine Corps flight operations and maintenance.
- Must obtain and maintain required clearance for Common Access Card (CAC).
- Able to perform troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems.
- Demonstrates an expert knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, and component parts.
- Knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds independently.
- Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required.
- Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, to include working overhead. Position requires sitting and/or standing at workbenches and wire boards 99% of the day.
- Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flightline.
- Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties.
- If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks.
- If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours.
- If required must be able to perform confined space activities.
- Position requires repetitive hand use using wire cutters, crimpers, etc.
- Travel may be required.

Responsibilities:
- The C-26 Site Lead will be an integral member of the technical interface team, supporting the on-site Customer, and resolving issues arising from maintenance activities.
- Oversees a team of aircraft maintenance professionals in multiple specialties to accomplish C-26 maintenance repairs and modifications performed to aircraft structures, aircraft engines, electrical, avionics and aircraft sub-systems.
- Ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of the contracted effort.
- Perform all ground operations in compliance with local facility safety requirements and DCMA Instruction 8210.1D.
- Facilitates maintenance debriefings, as required, to aid in the rapid identification of emerging issues.
- Document maintenance problems, even if they are resolved on-site, to ensure that the Maintenance and Program Manager are apprised of and can identify failure trends.
- Provides direct supervision of maintenance personnel and reports to the Maintenance Manager.
- Acts as the overall lead, manager and administrator for the sites contracted effort in support of aircraft subsystems and modifications.
- Works with and interacts with the Customer as well as other Program areas.
- Possess excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to develop and execute monthly and weekly maintenance plans to meet aircraft flight schedule.
- Collaborates with EH&S, compliance staff and other sites for writing and annual reviews of Ground Operating Procedures with the Government Flight Representative IAW DCMA INST 8210-1D and NAVAIR INST 3710.1 series.
- Ensures all maintenance is documented accurately using required forms, as required by job assignment and company policy
- Ability to work various shifts and travel to support customer requirements.
- Recruit new hires and perform termination of employees either for cause or routine release.
- Involved in the screening of all employee candidates to ensure adequate qualifications are met before offers are extended.
