Position: Software Developer
Previous experience: Experience in software development, ideally with a focus on C#.
Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom – Hybrid (3 days at the office)
Employment type: Full-time regular (flexible working options available)

The job
As part of the E3D Design development group, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing applications that support both desktop and cloud solutions. You will work in scrum teams aligned to our customers’ engineering disciplines, contributing to consistent delivery and modernisation of our product’s extensive feature set.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement functional features as per Product Owner requests.
- Analyse, investigate and debug issues found both internally (by the team) and externally (by customers).
- Drive quality throughout our product by taking the initiative on automated testing, architectural refactoring, and communal best practices.
- Demonstrate sound decision making on individual and team workloads to ensure it is delivered in a timely manner.
Ideal experience
From most to least important:
- Confidence in one (or more) of the following languages: Fortran, C#, C++, PML.
- Awareness of industrial engineering and/or factory plant design.
- Comfortable with source control systems (GIT) and automated build pipelines (Azure DevOps).
- Practices Agile and Scrum methodologies.
