We are looking for a full-stack developer to help us continue to lead the Common Criteria and FIPS certification industries in our creation of innovative and modern software solutions. We are a small team of focused developers who bring real-world changes and efficiencies to our internal teams and external clients. We need your passion for slick UIs, performant APIs, 0 downtime CI/CD changes and novel approaches to the everchanging landscape of IT security and certifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, code and test features, improvements and bug fixes for the various tools and products that Lightship provide internally to our delivery team and externally to our clients
  • Contribute to sizing and planning work in an agile environment
  • Champion the features and tools to the entire company providing real-world improvements to their ability to deliver the highest quality work
  • Interact with internal teams and clients to understand and deliver on their requirements
  • Demonstrate and promote Lightship Core Values within the organization

The Ideal Candidate
Excelling on the Lightship development team means that you are motivated and excited about providing real-world value to the certification delivery team while also innovating and improving how it is done in the industry. You will be responsible for building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also be involved in directing system testing and validation procedures, and also working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance. And finally, you share true dedication to our core values: we solve problems for our clients, we work hard with integrity, we are technical experts, we value family, and we have fun.
What You Bring

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or information technology

SKILLS

  • Goalng, React, Javascript, Typescript, Kubernetes, Python, C, CI/CD, Terraform, AWS
  • Experience with rapid development cycles in a web-based environment
  • Strong scripting and test automation abilities
  • Proven ability to document design processes, including development, tests, analytics, and troubleshooting
