CHARACTERISTICS OF A MILESTONE SOFTWARE ENGINEER:

In addition to the above, we are looking for a candidate who also uniquely fulfills the specific needs of our Software Engineer role.
We are recruiting a Software Engineer to take on full-stack software engineering, CRM workflow automation, and document and system configuration to support our innovative tech solutions, including Milestone’s Pathway® platform. This individual has a strong understanding of software engineering and delivery and will play a critical role in advancing Milestone’s mission.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years in software engineering roles delivering software created with our preferred software frameworks
• SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, schemas, and stored procedures
• 2+ years experience with understanding complex business requirements and converting them into technical solutions
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
• Must be a self-starter able to work independently under minimal supervision, but also take direction/guidance well and function efficiently as part of a collaborative team
• Must be able to meet deadlines, wear multiple hats, maintain flexibility to pivot as needed throughout the day, and thrive in high-pressure situations
• Maintain a high degree of attention to detail and professionalism in working with various clients, time-sensitive materials, and confidential matters
• Able to effectively prioritize, organize, and juggle multiple tasks/projects/deadlines simultaneously

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

• Experience working in the financial services industry preferred
• Salesforce and NetSuite ERP knowledge preferred

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand and implement modern web frameworks, including React, NextJS, Golang, etc.
• Develop or enhance REST APIs for use by internal and external integrations
• Deliver software using modern tools including Visual Studio Code, Azure Data Studio, Azure Web Apps, and related technologies
• Manage source code using modern CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps Repositories, Pipelines, and Artifact Registries
• Integrate into a Scrum-based development team, with processes that incorporate Jira, Confluence, daily standups, team backlog refinement, and other related processes
• Configure, lay out, and script our document, data mapping, and digital signature workflows
• Develop integrations from financial data stores to our CRM (Salesforce), our financial ERP platform (NetSuite), and our proprietary digital payment products
• Consult and collaborate with business and functional groups to deliver projects
• Recommend and manage short-term projects designed to meet business requirements, application functionality, performance, availability, cost, and business continuity across a variety of infrastructure needs
• Provide information, documentation, and guidance necessary to seamlessly transition designed systems to the operations and support areas
• Work with other technology teams to provide functional and scalable integrations to power other Milestone platforms
