Feeding San Diego is on a mission to end hunger through food rescue. Established in 2007, we are the leading hunger-relief and food rescue organization in San Diego County and the only Feeding America affiliate in the region. Last year, our organization provided more than 40.3 million meals every year to children, families, seniors, college students, military families, and veterans in partnership with a network of nearly 300 local charities, schools, faith communities, meal sites, and food pantries. More than 70 percent of the food provided to the community was rescued from local and national food donors. Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, supply chain, inventory management, demand planner or similar role, along with 2+ years of professional administrative and data analytics experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Solid understanding of sourcing and inventory management processes and procedures
  • Strong math and data/statistical data management skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making and presentation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel to sites throughout San Diego County
  • Experience troubleshooting software applications and functional issues at the client level
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; organizational skills.
  • Experience reviewing data sets and distilling into succinct information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel as well as ERP/SAP or other software related to demand planning
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of software systems that support (1) sourcing, (2) demand planning (both supply side and distribution) and (3) data analytics reporting
  • Highly adept at assessing, building, and managing processes.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Responsible and well organized.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Must be able to hear, see including peripheral vision and distinction of colors, read and communicate verbally and in writing frequently with a wide range of people from divergent socio-economic and cultural backgrounds and origins.
