Job Description Strategic Planning: Develop and execute category strategies that align with company growth targets and market trends. Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional support with suppliers to ensure competitive margins. Digital Merchandising: Optimize product placement, "searchability," and cross-selling opportunities on the web and app. Performance Tracking: Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), conversion rates, margins and assortment efficiency. Assortment Optimization: Curate the product mix by identifying gaps in the market and delisting underperforming items. Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure high fulfillment rates, on shelf availability and minimal "out-of-stock" occurrences. Pricing Strategy: Implement dynamic pricing models based on competitor analysis and seasonal demand. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in retail category management, procurement, or e-commerce. Deep understanding of the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector and online grocery consumer behavior. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Foodpanda, Shopee, Lazada, etc). Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs). Knowledge in lookerstudio is a plus. Strong grasp of margin calculations, blended margins, COGS (Cost of Goods Sold), and ROI analysis. Experience with inventory management tools or software.
