Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant based in Fort Worth. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and overseeing our company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze financial data to generate timely and precise financial statements.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify the precision of recorded transactions and rectify discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain and manage the general ledger system and ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee daily bank transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Track daily bank balances and monitor cash flow to ensure operational needs are met.
  • Coordinate month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide financial updates and reports, including variance analysis, budget vs. actuals, and forecasting.
  • Utilize accounting systems to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate customer credit records.
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • CPA certification or working towards it is highly desirable
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
  • Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
  • Experience with the general ledger and journal entries
  • Ability to handle month-end close procedures efficiently and accurately
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated capacity to adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High ethical standards and professionalism, with confidential information
  • Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting procedures.
