Description

The Senior Art Director will discover, present and deliver creative solutions for our prospects, clients and agency. Whether the issue at hand is for an existing client, a growth prospect or an internal initiative – the Senior Art Director will use a strong background in marketing and exceptional visual thinking to set the standards for our work. This role will interface with existing clients and prospects. And it will also provide leadership for junior members of the department.

  • Develop compelling presentations and present to existing clients and new prospects.
  • Provide mentoring to junior creative team members
  • Partner with Copywriter and other members of the department to concept and refine ideas across media
  • Present and discuss creative work internally
  • Interpret briefs to discover insights and foundations for creative development
  • Articulate direction to fulfillment partners (fabricators, printers, et cetera)
  • Liaise with counterparts in other disciplines of marketing (from traditional to social) to ensure integrated work
  • Lead the agency’s work to a higher aesthetic and reputation
  • Other duties as assigned that support the overall agency, department and program goals

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Superior visual problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and flexibility in daily work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong organization/time management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to project manage and handle multiple priorities and projects in a fast pace agency setting
    Education: Design, Art, or Marketing degree preferred but not required (BFA or similar)
    Experience: A minimum of 6 years’ experience working full time within marketing with Portfolio of produced work.
    Physical Demands: Computer work and occasional long hours.
    Specific Skills: Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    Specialized Knowledge, License, etc: n/a
    Supervisory Responsibilities: Mentoring art directors and junior art directors in design.
    Working Conditions: Office Environment.
    Travel Requirements: Some travel will be involved
    Language Skills: English is the primary language skill, however, bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
