Description:

Summary: Performs routine maintenance by repairing broken or leaking plumbing, work on damaged electrical wiring, check on the HVAC equipment, furniture moves, paintwork and applying preventing measures to reduce risk of future problems at facilities and real estate portfolio located primarily in Oregon and Washington states and other states as directed.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise Maintenance tech 2 for Properties / Facilities Division

  • Ability to continually be organized, multitask, works well under pressure / deadlines, in a positive and professional manner for completing special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
  • Interior and exterior maintenance of all surfaces, as well as repairs, installation and remodeling of floors, cabinets, fixtures and other building systems, as needed.
  • Minor construction and remodeling activities on commercial and residential buildings, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, roofing and general carpentry.
  • Perform regular maintenance inspections, landscape clean-up, and debris removal to include quarterly residential property maintenance inspections.
  • Update maintenance tasks on work order software with photos, notes, and documents for record keeping.
  • Submit receipts and other documentation for projects to Facilities Administrator for processing.
  • Must be able to drive and operate a motor vehicle.
  • Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools.
  • Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required.
  • Assists Team in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and workflow.
  • Oversee and review work of lower-level technicians.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of mechanical and facilities repair and maintenance.
  • Enter payroll hours appropriate to building and Ownership allocation procedures.
  • Clean, orderly and organized work, along with attention to detail is a must.
  • Candidate must be able to climb a ladder and work from surfaces off the ground.
  • Always Represent Day Wireless and property ownership in a clean and professional manner.
  • This is an on-call position, responds to all emergency calls on weekends and evenings in a timely manner.
  • May be required to work after-hours, occasional overnight travel in the NW region.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Two years journeyman level painting experience or any equivalent combination of knowledge and experience in painting and general handyman/building trades.
Licenses, Certifications: Valid state drivers license and ability to be covered by a motor vehicle insurance policy
