The Senior Professional Staff Nurse, a Registered Nurse, is a key care delivery team member. They set care standards, hold responsibility and accountability for nursing care, and manage patient care activities using independent judgment and collaboration. They maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and families to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, they demonstrate a commitment to the community and the nursing profession.
The Sr. Professional Staff Nurse, OP is a valued step in UPMCs OutPatient Nursing Career Ladder. The final candidate will be placed in the appropriate title and pay rate depending on education and experience

Responsibilities:

  • Professional Development: Continuously improve professional practice and patient care quality.

  • Patient Care: Partner with the care team, assist as needed, and adapt to changes.
