JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role exists to manage, govern, track & report the Regional Markets’ pricing outlook & promotion plans, enabling delivery of the SRM agenda and minimizing price exposure within and between markets across the full Food portfolio. Working in collaboration with the Senior SRM Manager Regional Markets, this role has direct accountability for two critical levers of SRM – Pricing & Trade Optimization.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Analytical skills and problem solving skills/creativity
- Experience in practical analysis (e.g. financial, category or sales analyst); ability to pull insights out of various data sets
- Broad knowledge of promotions and how they work
- Excellent Excel skills and good aptitude for systems
- Good knowledge of the Mars food business and the Regional Emerging Markets market
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload during busy periods
- Ability to form & deploy recommendations on strategic topics

Responsibilities:
- Support the creation, alignment and execution of the 1-3 year Regional Markets pricing & trade optimization strategy to deliver critical business KPI’s (NSV, NSV/t, MAC, MAC%)
- Ownership and maintenance of price files, price tracking & price reporting
- Play a leading role in the deployment & execution of Regional Markets CPI’s, promo optimization initiatives and trade optimization plans
- Ownership of periodic SRM scorecard & KPI tracking
- Governance, support & course correction of the deployment of the Regional Markets trade budget to maximize ROI and price growth
- Scenario planning support across the SRM levers (strategic pricing, promotions, mix, trade terms)
- Co-pilot the sales teams to provide insight, upskill & empower them on modeling practices, ratify their promotional modeling outputs, and by exception, provide central modeling for areas of high strategic importance
- Co-pilot customer teams on price and promotional effectiveness at a Mars, customer and total category level
- Build Key Account capability in use of the promotional evaluation tool to enable them to effectively scenario plan to identify ways to improve customer investment ROI.
- Regional Emerging Markets Lead for Project Iceberg & other strategic pricing workstreams
