Description

Job Purpose The Senior Subcontracting Engineer will be responsible for managing subcontracting activities within construction projects, including preparing inquiries, evaluating offers, negotiating agreements, and issuing subcontract RFA. The role requires technical expertise, strong commercial awareness, and effective coordination with project stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective subcontracting solutions. Key Accountabilities Review the RFS documents and information to be sure it is complete and sufficient to get offers Prepare and issue inquiries to subcontractors based on project requirements and BOQs. Collect, review, and analyze subcontractor quotations to ensure compliance with technical and commercial requirements. Prepare detailed comparison sheets and provide recommendations for subcontractor selection. Participate in negotiations with subcontractors to secure the most competitive and compliant offers. Review the draft subcontract agreements in coordination with the team leader and management. Monitor through the evaluation feedback the subcontractor performance regarding cost, quality, and schedule compliance. Maintain proper documentation of subcontracting processes and ensure alignment with company policies. Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable subcontractors and update the subcontractor database. Support the Subcontracting Team Leader in process improvements and department initiatives. Provide guidance to junior engineers in the subcontracting team. Qualification & Education: Education: B. Sc. In Engineering Years of Experience: From 5 to 8 Years with at least 2 years in Subcontracting field in a contracting company. Language: Arabic, English (Excellent). Computer skills: MS Office (Specially Excel and Power Point).
