BRIEF POSTING DESCRIPTION

Supply Chain Analytics Supervisor assists with developing strategic and operating plans to ensure supply chain group has resources to support current forecasted business and projected growth.
She or he will supervise analyst staff, administer workflow process systems, and conduct complex data analysis.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

· Manages a team of analysts that perform day to day reporting design, data management, and customer information interpretation.
· Conducts complex data analysis and helps management evaluate intangible factors to answer business questions for management.
· Selects, manages, evaluates, and develops staff. Challenges employees, builds effective team, develops organizational capacity, and provides staff with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities.
· Directs analytical activities of functions including purchasing, planning and replenishment of inventory, control of materials, and receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery of products to customers.
· Assists with developing of strategies, policies, procedures, and overall team to optimize value of entire function in creating world class supply chain management group.
· Maintains compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.

EXPERIENCE:

People management - 1 year required; 3 years preferred
Industrial distribution experience - 3 years preferred
Operations management - 3 years preferred

EDUCATION:

Bachelors’ Degree in Supply Chain or related field required; MBA preferred.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

· Advanced computer skills including VBA, SQL, Teradata, Microsoft Suite, etc.
· Ability to initiate and develop relationships with key decision makers both inside and outside the company to achieve objectives.
· Strong analytical skills, written and verbal communication skills.
· Able to oversee people and processes to achieve objectives.
· Strong interpersonal skills including coaching and conflict management.
· Knowledge of industry including suppliers, customers and competitors preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Employee required to organize and coordinate schedules.
· Employee required to analyze and interpret complex data.
· Employee required to problem-solve and manage other employees.
