Description:
The primary responsibility is to optimize seed supply and operations resourcing by systematically reviewing forecasts, customer orders, seed purchases, inventory, and inventory location. This process will provide critical information throughout the business for sales, logistics, operational line scheduling, seed cleaning, planning for grower crop, cash flow forecasting, and inventory control. The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Chief Operations Officer.
Requirements:

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Ability to analyze complex data sets and create simple methods of presentation/review
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentation experience
• Power BI experience is preferred
• Skilled in use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have at least 1yr of leadership experience
• Ability to be flexible with task assignment, and willing to take on new/different tasks
• Proactive and eager approach to solving problems and thinking several steps ahead
• Relates well with growers, customers, and other team members (such as grower services, manufacturing, sales, etc…)

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors in Engineering or Supply Chain

• Lead team responsible for supply chain planning, logistics, inventory management, and lot allocation
• Manage long term +3 year seed position by species and variety
• Manage and refine/optimize sourcing plans and strategies for grass seed needed to meet customer demand strategy
• Manage and level load short term forecast and order releasing to manufacturing to meet customer delivery targets
• Manage inventory location to ensure available to meet manufacturing schedule and customer demand
• Use and create tools in Excel, Power BI, and ERP to enable efficient review and ability to take action to drive business results
• Coordinate with Sales, Manufacturing, and Finance to achieve sync supply and demand, and forecast financial implications such as ending inventories
• Must be willing to take on projects and other duties as assigned as business needs change
