PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling is required up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-30 lbs frequently, and 10lbs constantly to move objects of up to 150 lbs. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.

Responsibilities:

BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Pulls stock request and cart refills. Enters transactions such as issues, pt. charges, and returns into Meditech. Delivers supplies to requesting departments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Issues phone and/or computer request for supplies in a timely, accurate and polite manor.
  • Breaks down and separate orders before deliveries.
  • Fills requisitions and delivers supplies to areas by checking supplies in computer and delivering to the correct area, with a copy of the receiving report accurately and promptly.
  • Appropriately handles drugs and IV fluids.
  • Assists in breakdown of cardboard.
  • Responsible for cycle counting of inventory.
  • Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
  • Ensures that supplies are delivered in a timely manner.
  • All Express Mail and packages will be delivered or department notified with 2 hours of arrival.
  • Willing assists with receiving, storing of supplies and department cleaning as needed.
  • Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of the Supply Chain department, to facilitate the department’s ability to meet its goals and objectives.
  • Utilizes hospital resources and time respectfully and accountably.
  • Willing assists with annual physical inventory, working accurately and efficiently.
  • Check supplies in all areas for expiration dates.
