What is the job role?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team at Gilbert Richards Centre supporting adults of various ages and abilities Monday to Friday. The service provides a range of activities and community groups and seeks an enthusiastic support worker, wanting to improve the quality of lives of people who attend the centre.
To ensure that all service users who attend the centre are involved in meaningful stimulating activities. To promote their independence, dignity and rights at all times.
You will need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as working as a team, refreshing the choices of activities appropriate to your user group.
Be enthusiastic and passionate about promoting the health and wellbeing and experiences of each individual, getting to know them, their likes and dislikes etc.
Have an opportunity to be creative and forward thinking in how we engage the people who attend our services.
To ensure that high quality practice and services are provided at all times and that all complaints/comments are properly responded to following Departmental policies and procedures
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
