Description:

The Systems Analyst II plays a crucial role in driving efficiency and productivity by evaluating business requirements and identifying opportunities for improvement. The position is instrumental in defining and configuring system solutions that streamline operations and enhance overall performance. Primary responsibilities of researching and implementing cutting-edge system software, ensuring our organization stays at the forefront of technology. Additionally, will serve as the go-to technical expert, assisting with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing timely and effective support to end users across all PC and peripheral systems. This job can be a remote/work-from-home position, but will need to be in-person in Manhattan, KS for the initial two weeks for training.

PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10-20 % travel
  • Part of team on-call rotation for evening and weekend
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of system and network security, providing insightful recommendations for improvement, and implementing necessary measures as directed.
  • Oversee and manage both on-premise and cloud-based data centers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest hardware and software developments, conducting thorough research to identify and apply necessary updates to enhance system performance and functionality.
  • Collaborate in the configuration and management of local and wide area networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal network performance.
  • Identify areas for network performance and reliability enhancement, making valuable recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of all company IT systems, ensuring their smooth operation and minimizing downtime.
  • Provide comprehensive support for PCs, printers, phones, and software, assisting end users with technical issues and troubleshooting.
  • Keep security activation/deactivation procedures documented and up to date, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  • Maintain an inventory of all owned software licenses and hardware, ensuring strict compliance with zero tolerance software license requirements.
  • Assist in managing the overall disaster discovery plan, including the creation, documentation, and execution of recovery procedures.
  • Play a pivotal role in project planning for facility and network upgrades, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruptions.
