EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Twenty (20) years experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineer experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Contribute to the development of systems engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Develop and contribute to systems engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Manage and ensure system requirements are compatible with defined system architectures (e.g., DoDAF, SOA) and allocate them to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
  • Coordinate the resolution of action items from CCB meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews requiring cross-discipline collaboration.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams to design new capabilities, considering all necessary development and operational needs.
  • Define, manage, and implement interface definitions, designs, and configuration changes throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Develop system design solutions, alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions that satisfy system requirements and functional analysis.
  • Derive and manage lower-level requirements from higher-level allocated requirements, ensuring they are complete, correct, unique, unambiguous, realizable, and verifiable.
  • Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems, including requirements elicitation, analysis, and functional allocation.
  • Implement and develop comprehensive SOA solutions, operational views, technical standards views, and system and services views for architectures using DoDAF standards.
  • Conduct and approve end-to-end system trade analyses, quantitative analyses in non-functional system performance areas, and risk assessments according to an approved risk management plan.
  • Support planning and test analysis of DoD Certification/Accreditation processes and the development and review of JCIDS documents.
  • Establish and manage procedures for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring interface designs are captured and stored in a common format.
  • Work with Agile systems development methods (e.g., Scrum) for project management and development processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Knowledge/competency in the job requirements listed above.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Support cloud technologies, including AWS, and understand basic concepts of cluster technologies like Kubernetes.
  • Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the compliance and integrity of the application.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence.
    Telework Availability: Telework/Hybrid is approved. Amount TBD.

SUMMARY PAY RANGE:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
$201,500 - $235,500

Responsibilities:

As a Systems Engineer - Senior Level at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
  • Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Develops technical documentation.
  • Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
  • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
