We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to work in a Tech Lead support role. The Tech Lead Support engineer will work in a collaborative, iterative development environment. Our Systems Engineers provide technical direction and design/requirement clarification to software agile development teams, integration, and test personnel. Systems Engineers also perform technical analyses and define how the system works creating use cases, decomposing requirements, defining system interfaces, and helping determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team. System Engineers also attend technical interchange meetings with other program personnel to discuss progress and issues. You will be the primary RTX technical POC to lead all Next Gen Interim operations (NIO) line of effort work; through the final launch campaign. Work will be performed in Aurora, CO and at a customer site in Boulder, CO. At least 25% time will be required on site in Boulder.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

An active and in-scope Secret U.S. security clearance

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with space ground integration; experience as a segment lead for a portion of a ground system; preferred experience as a ground integration lead (for the entire ground system). Experience can be in mission management, command and control, communications or data processing.
  • Experience leading development, test, requirements verification, discrepancy reporting.
  • Demonstrated systems engineering lifecycle experience in requirements analysis and development, system performance analysis, in an Agile or DevSecOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Software, Integration and Verification teams
  • Ability to review documents pulling pertinent information for inclusion into an integrated plan showing dependencies and linkages
  • Familiar with agile-scrum approach
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
  • Experience working in cross discipline teams and interact effectively with to complete product team objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) fundamentals
  • OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional
  • Agile Scrum Master experience
  • Experience in execution of a disciplined engineering processes, scope management, people development and risk and opportunity management
  • Experience using scripting languages such as Javascript, Ruby or Python
  • Generating systems engineering products for complex systems
  • DoDAF, Zachman or other architecture framework
  • Modeling and simulation

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years of relevant experience with a BS degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, preferred); OR
  • 3 years of relevant experience with a MS degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, preferred)
