Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking a Lead Systems Integration Air Vehicle Engineer within the Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) division. The position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The successful candidate will lead teams to completion of the Air Vehicle engineering on the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) program.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 7+ years of experience in Air Vehicle design or Systems Integration of Air Vehicle design
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience in resolving Air Vehicle Integration issues
  • Experience in CATIA

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Systems Integration lead for Air Vehicle activities for the Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP). The Air Vehicle integration position focuses on the cockpit and fuselage primary and secondary stress and structures design to include wiring installation and the aircraft systems mechanical designs (hydraulics, aerospace, thermal, fuels).
  • Execute non-recurring development with all functional and IPT teams for Air Vehicle engineering
  • Facilitate technical problem resolution to achieve successful aircraft design
  • Communicate with external customers on progress and/or issue resolution (SPO)
  • Responsible for flow down to Air Vehicle engineering teams
  • Highlight issues with EV reporting for PM review
  • Involved in IMS schedule development for Air Vehicle engineering
  • Work with IPTs and the customer in Air Vehicle engineering negotiations
  • Responsible for Air Vehicle engineering of proposal updates
  • Coordinated with PM, Contracts, Proposal Management, Labor and Material Estimating, and Finance for Air Vehicle engineering proposal updates
  • Develop Lessons Learned for the team
