MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in relevant fields: accounting, business administration, economics, or finance.
  • 1-2+ years relevant (tax or accounting) experience. Open to new graduates.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel includes creating/refreshing PivotTables and using macros.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

The Tax Accountant will participate in tax compliance, audit management, and tax planning in a multi-national and multi-jurisdictional environment.

  • Assist in gathering information for, and review of completed state sales and use returns, which are prepared by third parties
  • Prepare property tax filings, Canadian GST/HST tax returns, as well as other indirect tax filings completed in-house
  • Prepare monthly indirect tax account balance reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Coordinate and schedule monthly, quarterly, and annual tax payments (sales and use, Canadian GST/HST, property, and income taxes, among others).
  • Maintain tax depreciation, control logs of deliverables, and compliance requirements (transaction, property and/or income taxes, and other informational reporting).
  • Assist in gathering information for tax examinations and respond to notices and inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Research sophisticated federal, state, and international tax issues across a broad range of taxes.
  • Drive innovation and change in current tax processes.
