We are looking for an exceptional Teacher of English to join our team on a part-time basis, with flexibility for the right candidate.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong passion for English, with an energetic and accessible teaching style.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to inspire confidence and curiosity in pupils.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that challenge and support pupils of diverse abilities and needs.
- Skilled at adapting teaching styles to suit individual situations, fostering an environment where pupils feel confident to ask questions and share ideas.
- Strong literacy, numeracy, and data analysis skills, with the ability to report clearly on outcomes.
- Competence in using ICT to support teaching and learning, as well as data management.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to contribute to the wider school community and life beyond the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across allocated classes.
- Set and assess challenging, ambitious work, in line with the School and Department assessment policies.
- Monitor and evaluate pupil progress, keeping records and writing reports as required.
- Collaborate as part of the English Department.
- Participate actively in professional development, maintaining a sense of curiosity and ambition.
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are fully adhered to, protecting the welfare of all pupils.
- Contribute to the school’s pastoral care, supporting the community to be the best version of itself.
