Key Accountabilities
The role We are looking for our next Tech Lead. The role is currently planned to lead our Monolith Team, but we’re looking for a candidate who would be well suited to any of our teams working to improve the architecture of Spektrix products. The Monolith Team was established to address technical debt inside our systems and advance our architectural roadmap. The team has recently hit a number of milestones on this roadmap, unlocking other engineering teams and ensuring future scalability and stability. Recently, the team has pivoted to a ground-up refresh of our data migration tools; these tools are a crucial part of our customer onboarding experience, which enables our growth and expansion plans.
This role is responsible for the technical delivery of the team’s work, ensuring that solutions are high quality and aligned with the department’s practices and principles.
They will be a member of the Technical Leadership Community and work closely with the Technical Strategy Group to iterate on the technical vision and strategy. They will then communicate and oversee the implementation of that strategy within their team. Working alongside various supporting roles such as a Delivery Manager, Engineering manager and Product Owner. All ensuring that their teams can deliver on their goals and continuously improve.
Our cloud native approach means using Azure PaaS solutions where possible to deliver value to our clients. Our technical strategy is to invest in simplifying the development and deployment of our applications and move towards a service oriented architecture to allow us to scale and continue to operate a reliable platform that our clients and third party developers can build their businesses on.
The ideal candidate will be practised in technical leadership, agile delivery and test-driven development. They will be excited about fostering a culture of collaboration where members of all experience levels can have opportunities to grow. They will be interested in building and operating the web services and infrastructure that make up the Spektrix platform.
