REQUIREMENTS:

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven track record in leading the successful delivery of projects to production environments within cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years experience developing multi-layer systems using C#.NET, with hands on coding experience in the last year
  • 5+ years experience developing web based applications with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • 5+ years experience in database design and development preferably Oracle/SQL Server
  • Exposure to docker, ActivMQ, Elastic Search would be an advantage
  • Experience of responsive web design principles is a plus
  • Ability to facilitate client calls and communicate project updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with working in a fast paced support environment

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • DB Design & Optimisation, Stored Procedures, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Experience with web services, Remoting, MSMQ
  • Knowledge of frontend frameworks, especially React

Education

  • Degree in Computing or similar related qualification

Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an experienced technical team lead who enjoys working in a fast-paced support environment to deliver a programme of patch releases for the Fenergo product. Working with the Product Support team the successful candidate will run the Kanban bug fix process which provides patches for all the supported Fenergo versions. They will also act as the point of contact for any actions against the core product requested from the customer support teams and be responsible for the team’s overnight build process.
A secondary function will be to coordinate L3 issues escalated from the customer support team, where a more coordinated approach is needed to resolve them.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver a pre-defined programme of patch releases via the Kanban process to support all the major Fenergo branches
  • Manage the day to day activities of the product support team including coaching and mentoring, assigning bugs via ADO Kanban process and responding to queries from the PS teams
  • Manage the build process including publication and creation of release documentation
  • Coordinate the L3 escalated issues as and when needed
  • Investigate core related issues in conjunction with the PS teams
  • Drive efficiency in the Fenergo patch release process
  • Communicate status, risks and issues for your deliverables throughout the SDLC to technical stakeholders and project / program management.
  • Liaise with Engineering for inclusion of new features released
  • The lead aspects of this role will mean that your coding time will be limited to approximately 40% of your time
  • International travel may also be a requirement of this role
