Description:

What you will deliver:

  • Collaborate with D&T and other departments to understand their technology requirements and support the development of procurement strategies to meet those needs consistent with overall company and procurement objectives.
  • Support the development of RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs for IT-related purchases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review vendor responses and make recommendations for vendor selection.
  • Conduct market research to inform procurement decisions and identify potential cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, volume discounts, and alternative procurement methods.
  • Monitor vendor spend (costs), proactively identifying opportunities to improve cost-effectiveness.
  • Liaise with vendors during contract negotiations to help secure favorable terms, including pricing, service level agreements, and delivery schedules.
  • Review and analyze contract terms and conditions to mitigate risks and ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.
  • Maintain a contract management system to track contract expiration dates, renewals, and compliance obligations.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders, including business stakeholders, privacy, security, audit, finance, and the legal departments, to ensure the terms and conditions stated in contracts are in line with the company’s standard strategic objectives, legal requirements, and corporate policies.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns that arise.
  • Manage multiple vendor relationships involving information technology solutions and services.
  • Develop and execute vendor and client satisfaction surveys and analyze results.
  • Track and analyze vendor performance data

Responsibilities:

The Technology Procurement and Vendor Management Specialist is responsible for supporting sourcing, contracting, and vendor management activities involving information technology within the Data & Technology (D&T) department and across the organization.

    What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT procurement, with a focus on category management, sourcing, vendor management, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in delivering savings and value in a procurement function.
  • Experience supporting the creation of RFx documents and owning/facilitating competitive bid engagements.
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder/relationship management and networking skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with G Suite and Microsoft 365.
  • Exposure to Ivalua third party management platform is an asset.
