POSITION OVERVIEW:

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly motivated technology program manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the chief information officer (CIO), the ideal candidate will oversee the management of technology platforms, products, and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. This role requires a critical thinker with strong project management skills; some experience in vendor management, knowledge of data management and governance; and the ability to drive product development and change management initiatives across organization. This role is perfect for a candidate looking to get a broad set of experiences across a range of technology projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar experience in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technology program management, project management, and product development.
  • Strong understanding of data management, data governance, and IT governance principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and develop product strategies.
  • Experience in user training and onboarding to new systems.
  • Proficiency in change management and product roadmap development.
  • Experience managing vendors and integrating internal and third-party systems.
    The salary range for this position is $107,900 to $140,000. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage discrete IT projects and other technology initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Manage communications for projects and programs, ensuring strong alignment and support from multiple stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and resolve any issues that arise.

Data Management and Governance

  • Coordinate data management, data governance, and enterprise technology architecture efforts across our teams to ensure effective cost management, data integrity, and security.

Product Development

  • Drive the development and enhancement of technology platforms and capabilities, ensuring they meet user needs and business requirements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define system features, prioritize development efforts, and manage technology roadmaps.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Budgeting

  • Develop and manage budgets for technology projects and products.

User Training and Onboarding

  • Design and deliver training programs to onboard users to new systems and technologies.
  • Provide ongoing support and resources to ensure successful adoption and utilization of technology solutions.

Communication and Change Management

  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions to new technologies and processes.
  • Develop communication plans to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project life cycle .

Vendor and System Integration Management

  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure effective delivery of services and products.
  • Oversee the integration of internal and third-party systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and functionality.
