Description:

INTRODUCTION:

We are looking for an experienced Telecom Engineer to work with detail engineering in a large project for an unmanned operated offshore wind substation (HVDC) within the telecom discipline.
The right candidate will join a major green field project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within telecommunication systems design in a HVDC converter station and personal skills in a large international project-working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and development of Telecom philosophy, and design solutions for Telecom sub systems including remote operations, maintenance, monitoring, and new technologies.
  • Follow up telecom vendors and vendors technical documentation.
  • Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client.
  • Develop and complete engineering documents and data registers.
  • Participate and contribute to relevant test activities, workshops and reviews.
  • Site support to fabrication yard

Qualifications:

Work Experience:

  • Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas or wind projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.
  • Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC.

Education:

  • Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education.

  • FSE course
