Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
This position assists in managing a library collection and performs a variety of media center and clerical duties including working with groups of secondary students in developing media skills and facilitating media check in and check out procedures. Full job description available upon request.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Criminal history clearance (background check and HB 2062).
- Proficient in basic computer skills/programs.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Spanish speaking skills.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee library collection (books and technology) to ensure organized and up to date.
- Catalogs books and technology equipment and oversee organization of the book depository
- Conduct regular library times/instruction for student groups including before, during and after school a
- Supervise students and maintain positive discipline.
- Operate computers and other forms of technology.
- Keep accurate inventory of library collection, supplies, and school media/technology.
- Be creative and versatile in terms of working with students to create a positive and inviting environment.
- Perform office duties when covering for school secretary staff.
- Ability to treat information confidentially.
- Maintain circulation records for library books, reference materials, periodicals and textbook depository.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Temporary position working a school year calendar from approximately November 18, 2024 through March 6, 2025 at 1.0 FTE. Based on current OSEA Contract (Code 7: $17.23 – $19.88 per hour), with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision insurance.
