Description:
Your role at St John of God Berwick Hospital
In this role you will be a pivotal part of generating revenue (via additional patient activity) and efficiency (via list optimisation) for the Hospital. Reporting to Perioperative Services Manager, this role will build strong relationships and work effectively with a range of important stakeholders including: visiting medical officers (VMO’s), their Practice Managers & staff, patients and caregivers.
The Position:
- Take responsibility for ad-hoc requests, pursuing every opportunity to accept all requests by; working with VMO’s on days and times in demand, capping lists where unlikely to be filled; running list back to back; reallocating robot with notice and where unlikely to be used; and offering list alternatives until solutions are found to all ad-hoc requests.
- Respond to all ad-hoc requests in a timely way with resolution or response same day
- Execute ad-hoc allocations ensuring all stakeholders are aware
- Manage obstetric and robot allocations
- Monitor the quality and accuracy of data
- Maintain a register and calendar of leave dates for VMOs
- Effectively communicate critical information to key departments
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, with minimum two (2) years’ experience in a theatre environment and demonstrate ability to build collaborative and sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
To succeed you will have good working knowledge and experience in the use of computerized patient booking systems and all Microsoft applications and well-developed leadership and communication skills including negotiation, mediation, conflict resolution and problem solving.

- Salary: $100,272 per annum (pro rata if part time) + 11.5% superannuation.
