Description:
Are you looking to join a dynamic and forward-thinking theatre implant room team. An excellent opportunity has arisen to support theatre services with resources and procurement, working with a variety of departments and teams. Linking with external company representatives to ensure products are tested by clinicians and done in a timely way.
With support from the theatre team managers, take a lead role in theatre procurement, providing the main link between the procurement team and theatres in evaluating new products, purchase of new equipment, resources, including providing administrative support and theatre representation at the New Equipment and Procedures Committee.

Working predominately Monday to Friday but there will be some weekend working.

The post holder will be responsible for providing procurement assistance and support while leading agreed pieces of work, for example, equipment/resource trials
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for establishing and maintaining appropriate standards of practice (SOPs) for procurement.
To communicate efficiently and effectively with the multidisciplinary team, other departments within the Trust and outside agencies and actively participate in decision making with afore mentioned.
Provide support to non-theatre, clinical areas within the Trust regarding theatre procurement and stock management.
Liaise with Senior Theatre Team and other relevant staff (including Finance) regarding procurement services.
Discuss monthly budget reports with the Senior Theatre Team and contribute to the Monthly Finance and Cost Improvement Programme report updates.
Liaise with Senior Theatre Team and departmental equipment leads relating to risk assessments of equipment and in preparation for Capital bids funding.
Representation and attendance at relevant meetings.
Attending relevant procurement meetings representing the trust.
Provide Theatre representation at Trust Procurement Committee.
Co-operate with the Shropshire Procurement Hub and Health Trust Europe.
Involvement in Service Improvement Programmes and Service Developments impacting on procurement requirements or Bluespier.
Overseeing and communicating with companies regarding the delivery and receipt of specific orders.
Be responsible for maintaining good practices in all areas of service, in accordance with the provisions of Heath & Safety at Work Regulations 1992 and allied regulations including COSHH and Consumer Protection Act 1987.
To ensure that confidentiality is always maintained in conjunction with the Trust Confidentiality Policy.
Verbal and Written communication in regard to any procurement related issues. Appropriate escalation to the Senior Theatre Team when necessary.
The post holder will liaise with the consultant body in regard to replacement products and trial as part of CIP / contract renewal / tender bids
