We have an exciting opportunity for a Thermal Analysis Engineer to join our team with the Engineering Division.

The Thermal Analysis Engineer will:

  • Support the thermal analysis group
  • Simulate and evaluate performance of agile and passive thermal control systems for future NASA vehicles and habitats including the Orion spacecraft and vehicles capable of lunar or Mars missions
  • Correlate thermal models to test results
  • Develop thermal models of space hardware or test equipment using Thermal Desktop analysis code and first principal models with standard desktop softwarePerform other tasks assigned

REQUISITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering with experience in the field or in a related area
  • Knowledge of programming in one or more of the following: FORTRAN, C, Visual Basic
  • Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to use data to draw conclusions and support the conclusions when challenged
  • Excellent presentation skillsDemonstrate excellent communication skills in a team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
