Description POSITION OVERVIEW: Job responsibilities include maintaining the tire inventory, a tire exchange program, and operating the tire press at one of our branch locations or onsite at a customer location. Assist service, parts, used, and rental departments to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain assigned work area, always keeping it in a safe, clean, and organized condition. Must have a sense of urgency to meet daily deadlines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following reflects the essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Tire Management Tire Inventory Management. Tire Exchange Inventory Management. Pick-up/Deliver tires & parts at customer locations. Press and remove tires onto wheels in the shop, or at a customer location. The tire press area is to be clean and always organized. Coordinate tire waste disposal and maintain Hazmat records. Ability to work overtime as needed. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Utilities/Safety Assist Logistics Associate with facility organization and clean-up duties daily. Follow all processes and procedures for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in support of safety and cleanliness. Report safety concerns to the local manager and work together with the safety team to correct them. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Required High school diploma or equivalent Good written and oral communication skills Exceptional customer service skills demonstrating a helpful attitude with everyone. Ability to follow directions and work independently. Basic knowledge of inventory management. Proficient PC computer skills – data entry, Excel, email. Demonstrated willingness to learn and be team oriented. Qualified DMV record, background check, and drug screen. Desired Experience working in a maintenance and industrial equipment environment. Experience working a tire press. Experience driving a flatbed, box truck, or similar vehicle. Requirements PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Required to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, turn, climb, push, pull, squat, and/or remain balanced for extended lengths of time throughout their scheduled working period. Required to reach above and below the shoulder, use repetitive hand, wrist and forearm rotation along with fine manipulation with right and left hands. Required to use their hands on a routine and daily basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and/or otherwise operate required tools or controls. Required to twist at the neck and waist frequently. Operation of foot controls or repetitive foot movement required for driving equipment including forklift and motor vehicle, including long driving periods to locations across Northern California. Will use tablet as a telephone, messenger, and work tool, so expect to wear a Bluetooth device and use fine hand movements to enter information into the tablet daily. Must be able to move about the work area in a variety of different temperatures and environments and work safely in all weather conditions. Hear with or without correction to be able to interpret and receive information and directions. Communicate, verbally and in written form, regularly to describe and explain detailed, important, and accurate instructions internally and directly with customers. Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. The associate must be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms. Lift 50 pounds without assistance and 100 pounds with assistance from others or utilizing a lifting device. Noise level fluctuates based on worksite.
