Responsibilities
Serve as primary TIS (Technology and Information Service) interface with teams within GTM (Gas Transmission and Midstream) Commercial departments including business development and marketing focused on assets in GTM U.S. for the purpose of technology strategy development, solution discovery, new product introduction, program delivery, service management and relationship management.
Orchestrate work between Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Compliance, operational partners, and vendors to execute business requirements and support needs and ensure business goals and strategic priorities are met.
Jointly develop multiyear technology roadmaps aligned with Enbridge’s overall Strategic Priorities, TIS’s Strategic Imperatives and GTM’s Strategic Profile.
Collaborate with GTM Operations and Commercial leaders to develop Long-Range Plans and the associated TIS capital and operational budget & resources.
Lead the executing, sustaining and adoption of complex and robust programs/projects in alignment with the technology roadmaps for the GTM Commercial and Operations departments.
Ensure the full delivery of TIS value to GTM teams by cultivating high-level relationships, sensing opportunities and selling the value of TIS in delivering business solutions.
Serve as the strategic interface to GTM business clients and act as a “trusted advisor” to senior business executives by fostering long-term, value-driven, and strategic relationships.
Support client business to mature business policies and procedures to harmonize with TIS Strategy.
Accountable for building and directing teams that will enhance the capability of TIS by identifying when and where significant business technology improvement and projects are needed, to improve the quality of business outputs.
Develop and implement sound rationale for portfolio management and managing product phase-in-phase-out plans, proactively anticipating gaps and overlaps within the portfolio.
Provide project management support to client business on systems/process-related initiatives.
Direct professional team development including goal setting, performance management, coaching, mentoring and ensuring the team’s skills, certifications, and capabilities are kept up to date through the implementation of training and development programs.
Partner with Technology Working Groups & Enterprise Architecture to ensure solutions align with identified business needs without violating TIS strategic direction.
Engage Technical Subject Matter Experts to gather and derive operational requirements and translate them into appropriate technical specifications to ensure that issues can be quickly identified, isolated and resolved.
Responsible for direct management of team, including budgets, staffing issues, resource allocation and vendor relationships.
Maintain key client, vendor & IT relationships (both externally and internally) with business owners, clients and their management.
Responsible for planning and achieving annual departmental goals and objectives within area of responsibility.
Prepare, review, and monitor O&M and capital budget for area of responsibility.
Evaluate and assign work assignments to IT personnel based on available resources, system dependencies and client priorities or requirements.
20% international travel to company location in Canada required.
